Dream Herb (Calea zacatechichi)was traditionally used by the
Chontal Natives of Oaxaca, Mexico. It would be prepared as
a tea and drunk while smoking a cigarette made up of the
foliage just before going to bed.
Those who partook of the Dream Herb were able to
experience lucid dreaming; the ability to control and
remember their dreams with less effort. Auditory hallucinations
are also fairly common, which prompted the Chontals,
believing they were hearing the voice of God, to refer to
Calea zacatechici as Leaf of God.
Tea made from the leaves has a bitter taste so be prepared to
add plenty of sweeteners if you try it as a tea. Although some
say the bitterness adds to the experience.
We are very happy to now offer fresh Sweet Flag or calamus root.
Sweet Flag is a semiaquatic herb with a long, aromatic, creeping rootstock
producing shoots of erect, swordlike leaves up to 6 ft (2m) in length. The

The Cree are said to have numerous medicinal uses for the plant including an
analgesic, to fight the effects of fatigue or exhaustion, to prevent and help
cure a hangover and even claimed that chewing the fresh root enabled
them to "travel great distances without touching the ground". This Sweet Flag
is American Calamus, organically grown and harvested.
Because our Cree Calamus is extremely fresh, you may discover a new
respect for Sweet Flag.

In their cuisine usage, Papaver Somniferun poppy seeds are extensively used in
Middle Eastern and Asian cuisine, specially Indian, Moghlai and North West Indian
cuisine. In Eastern India, where poppy seeds are grown a plenty, there are many
delectable curries made with poppy seeds paste. Since they are considered to
have high cooling properties, their usage is believed to relive digestive disorders, and
the husk, when ground with the seeds, is a great cleanser for the system too.
The poppy seed contains extensive quantities of calcium, as well as phosphorus. In
addition, it also contains a very high percentage of protein, in the form of globulin.
This has an amino acid makeup similar to whole seed protein. In addition, these
seeds contain 50% edible oil and many cultures (including ancient Egyptians),
extract it for usage.
Poppy seeds have a large number of medicinal usages. However, none of its
medicinal forms should be taken for more than three days in a row. Being a powerful
narcotic, it might induce symptoms of addiction.
Variety pack . A seed pack of mixed Opium Poppy seeds containing Persian Blue,
Persian White, Hens and Chicks, and Giganteum seeds.
Not poppy, nor mandragora,

Which thou owedst yesterday."

Hemia salicifolia is (Sinicuichi) a flowering shrub that grows
from Mexico to Argentina and is widely cultivated through
its range.
Hemia salicifolia has a Shamanic tradition dating to the
Aztecs. The leaves were crushed, mixed with water and
allowed to ferment for a few days, making a nice-tasting
tea called Sinicuichi. The effect of the Sinicuichi tea was a
euphoriant and a brightening/yellowing of vision, hence the
name "Sun Opener." Sinicuichi is also thought to give the
ability to recall past events with great clarity.
